Alumni Leadership Board

 

What is the Alumni Leadership Board?

The Alumni Leadership Board is a volunteer advisory board that represents Mary Baldwin's 17,000+ alumni. Working with the Office of Alumni Engagement and University Advancement, they will work to engage and involve alumni that support the goals and mission of the University. This new board is scheduled to roll out in June 2021, and is comprised of leadership of the Working Committees.

Purpose

The purpose of the Alumni Leadership Board is to:

  • Serve as an advisory and leadership board between the Alumni Association, the Association's members, and the University.
  • Represent the diverse alumni of Mary Baldwin University.
  • Advise the Office of Alumni Engagement regarding engagement and outreach strategies to the growing alumni body.
  • Support the strategy/implementation related to the results of the all-alumni survey.

Structure

The make up and structure of the Board will be:

  • Membership will be comprised of MBU alumni and individuals completing at least one semester of coursework and leaving the university in good standing.
  • The membership of the Alumni Leadership Board will be representative and diverse, representing as many programs/disciplines, levels of degree, residential/online, biographical and ethnic diversity, geographical diversity, and careeer industry representation.
  • The leadership of the Working Committees (Communications, Career/Mentor, Regional Engagement, Lifelong Learning, and Programs/Events will seat the Alumni Leadership Board.  For more information on these committees, click here.
  • The Alumni Leadership Board may be between 15-20 members in size.

Membership

The Alumni Leadership Board is scheduled to be seated by at least 60% capacity by June 2021. These members will be announced in the spring via email and posting on this page.
